Nick Talio - Founder/Coach

Brief Biography:

Hello, I'm Nick Talio, founder of Recover Summit. My journey into health and wellness began around 10 years ago, and since then, it's been my mission to share that passion with others. I established Recover Summit with the aim to provide a holistic approach to health and longevity, offering products and coaching for those serious about taking control of their physical and mental well-being.

I started my professional journey in 2014, initially through personal training, and then pursued a deeper understanding of the body by earning a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from SUNY Brockport. This education provided me with a solid foundation in human movement, nutrition, and how to optimize lifestyle for the best health outcomes. Post-graduation, I've had the privilege of coaching diverse age groups, from the young to the elderly, at various prestigious wellness centers and now at my private gym.

The focus on longevity and anti-aging came naturally to me. There's something incredibly rewarding about helping individuals rediscover their health and vitality, especially those who may have thought they'd lost it for good. That's the spirit behind Recover Summit: to bring effective, daily-use products and practical strategies to everyone.

What's my current routine?

My personal routine is as follows, I wakeup 6am hit the cold plunge, straight to the gym for a strength training workout from 7-8, followed by 15-20 minutes of the sauna, then straight into the shower. From there I sip on black coffee and intermittent fast while I manage the business, answer emails, and respond to some of you guys who reach out with questions. Around 2pm I will have my first meal packed with protein, carbs and fat from Whole Foods typically beef, eggs, yogurt, honey, and fruit. Around 4pm I head to the gym to coach for 4 hours, and then finish up my day by showering, answering more emails, eating dinner, going for a walk after dinner to digest and spend time thinking, and finally I relax with Victoria on the couch for 30 minutes to an hour to connect and wind down. Before bed I will spend 15-20 minutes in front of the red light panel to rejuvenate my body and skin before going to sleep around 10pm.

    • 5+ Years of Coaching Experience and Currently Manage/Coach a gym.

    Personal Fitness Achievements

    • I have ran and completed a half marathon, 15 mile spartan trail race, NYC Full Marathon, and a 50 mile race in Northern California that took me 11 hours and 52 minutes to complete. 
    • Powerlifting Meet Bench 260lbs, Squat 390lbs, and Deadlift 500lbs
    • Played High school and college football as a wide receiver 
    • Experience with jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, CrossFit, and bodybuilding.

    Philosophy and Approach:

    • My philosophy is rooted in the conviction that health and wellness are the bedrock of a fulfilling life. An optimal state of health enriches every facet of our existence, leading to a more positive outlook, heightened confidence, deeper relationships, better performance in professional pursuits, and an overall sense of completeness. There's an intuitive truth to it: when you feel your best, you're positioned to give your best to every aspect of life. Conversely, what disheartens me is witnessing the all-too-common decline of health with age, leading many to a point where their quality of life is severely compromised. It's a poignant reminder that without our health, our ability to experience life's richness dwindles. My commitment is to reverse this trend, to empower individuals to maintain and enhance their health at every stage of life, ensuring they can savor every moment to its fullest.

    Specialties and Interests:

    • My expertise lies in the realm of longevity training, with a particular emphasis on enhancing strength and endurance, optimizing nutrition, and developing robust routines. I'm deeply passionate about guiding individuals to craft and establish transformative routines, much like the one I've devised for myself. Witnessing the profound impact these changes have on someone's life, observing the newfound purpose they embrace each morning, and seeing the determination they carry to better themselves daily is incredibly rewarding. It's about more than just the routines; it's about instilling a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and a life lived with intention and vigor. My mission is to not only provide the tools and knowledge but to inspire and support every step in this journey towards a fuller, healthier life.

    • For many years, I was held back by the belief that a single change could trigger a cascade of improvements in my life. I learned, however, that true progress, especially in health, is not so simplistic. It demands a holistic commitment—a symphony of actions harmonizing towards well-being. This is precisely why I created this website and curated these products, complemented by personalized coaching. Here, we embrace all aspects of wellness: internal health through quality products, physical health with training and coaching, and the emotional stability that comes from tying in all these things together. Each element is crafted to work in concert, recognizing that a multifaceted approach is essential for lasting change. My journey inspired this platform, designed to guide you through a comprehensive, integrated path to health and longevity.

    Victoria Pollak - Co Owner/Coach

    Hello, I'm Victoria, Co Owner of Recover Summit. My journey into health and wellness began as a personal mission to understand and embrace holistic health. My dedication led me to become a specialized personal trainer, particularly focusing on empowering women above 40 to regain confidence and optimize their health for graceful aging. I hold a Bachelor's degree and am a certified NASM CPT and certified yoga instructor, combining various disciplines to offer a comprehensive approach to health and wellness. I am also a Model in the sports and fitness division of Wilhelmina!

    My main focus it to help women embrace a proactive and holistic approach to their health and well-being, providing them with the tools we offer on the website and support necessary with coaching, to create a complete lifestyle transformation. 

    What's my current routine?

    My personal routine involves waking up early, engaging in either strength training, yoga class, pilates, or more recently running. I believe in the power of starting the day with mindfulness and physical activity. I then spend my day coaching, sharing my expertise, and helping clients achieve their health goals through 1:1 training, online coaching, and yoga classes. My evenings are dedicated to unwinding, reflecting, and preparing for the next day, ensuring a balanced approach to work and personal life.

I strive to empower my clients to take control of their health journey, offering them the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive at every stage of life.

    My Beliefs and Specialties:

    My specialties lie in longevity training and holistic health, with a focus on strength training, flexibility, and mobility. As much as I love fitness, I also believe heavily in balancing life and everything it has to offer. I love traveling, taking trips to new places, eating all types of foods, and I am very much in favor of experiences over materialistic things. Finding this balance between doing the things we love, and the things that allow us the freedom to live the lives we without experiencing pain and sickness is what motivates me coach other people and show they what is possible when you strike the right balance of health and enjoyment to ultimately achieve health, longevity, and the ultimate confidence.
