For enhanced durability and hypoallergenic benefits, the exterior features Thermal Plus™ Aspen, treated through thermal modification—a process heating wood to 160-240°C to improve stability, reduce moisture absorption, and minimize swelling or rot, making it more suitable for varying moisture environments. This method contrasts with industry norms of using lower-grade woods or unsuitable types like eucalyptus, which can warp and emit odors, highlighting Finnmark's commitment to durability and air quality within their saunas.
